OH WHAT A NIGHT ! CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF
DONVALE FOOTBALL CLUB
We hope this message finds all of our Donvale family safe and well. What a week it has been. Just 8 days ago we celebrated our wonderful 50 year function, played some great games of footy across the weekend and were on a real high as we headed into the final part of our season. Then; well, everyone knows how last week then transpired. :-(
We hope to be back playing footy as soon as possible. When we know what's happening, so will you.
We will need some help from players and families in particular. Our big trailer raffle is due to be drawn next Saturday evening 24 July, along with a function in support. Obviously we're not sure yet how this will eventuate; however we are certain that the sale of the raffle tickets is our major fundraising activity for the season. We will communicate soon about best way to return monies and ticket stubs; hopefully it will be as easy as bringing them to training later in the week ! Obviously we're all restricted by Covid rules at the moment, but anything players and families can do to try and sell your allocated book of tickets will be greatly appreciated please.
For those who weren't able to attend our 50 year function, it was a brilliant evening. Loads of fun, friendship and stories. Huge thanks to John Giles, Brian Fletcher, Marnie Goldsmith, Kylee McCormack, Rob Peak, Adrian Daniels and many others who worked so hard to create a fantastic event. Many others helped across the weekend too; it was all appreciated.

As well as celebrating 50 years and 3 of our Premiership reunions, Donvale took the opportunity to make 3 major presentations. We inducted 6 new Life Members, awarded Distinguished Service Awards to long standing junior club helpers and announced our Team of the Decade 2011 - 2020.
